How accurate are the Vedic astrology readings?
Our readings are generated using authentic Vedic astrology calculations with Lahiri Ayanamsa, the most widely accepted ayanamsa system in India. Birth chart positions are computed using the Swiss Ephemeris for high astronomical accuracy. However, all readings are for entertainment and guidance purposes only and should not replace professional advice.
Why do you need my exact birth time?
In Vedic astrology, the Ascendant (Lagna) and Moon sign change approximately every 2 hours. An accurate birth time is essential for computing your correct Ascendant, planetary house placements, Dasha periods, and divisional charts. The more precise your birth time, the more accurate your readings.
Is my birth data safe?
Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use Clerk for secure authentication and store data on Neon Postgres with row-level security. We never sell your personal data to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
How does the AI astrologer work?
Our AI astrologer personas are powered by Anthropic Claude AI, trained with carefully crafted Vedic astrology system prompts. The AI interprets your birth chart data using traditional Vedic principles to generate personalised readings and conversational responses.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription at any time. For Apple: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions, or visit https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. For Google Play: visit https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.
Can I get a refund?
Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple and Google respectively, per their refund policies. For specific requests or issues, you can also email support@astronova.app and we will assist within their refund windows.
How do I delete my account and data?
You have two options. (1) In the app: go to Profile → Settings → Delete account. Or (2) on the web: visit https://astronova.app/delete-account for instructions. Your personal data is erased within 30 days of the request, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records for tax compliance).
Which languages are supported?
The Astro Nova currently supports English and Hindi (Devanagari). You can switch languages in the app settings.
Does the app work offline?
Yes, core features like viewing your saved birth chart and recent readings work offline. AI chat and daily horoscopes require an internet connection. Data syncs automatically when you reconnect.
